Summer City Fair Couples Session // Maria and Boris

Arcadia, CA

One summer evening, when my heart yearned to do a county fair session, Maria and Boris made my dreams come true. In my head, I said that with a storybook narrator voice haha! But let’s put my dramatic self aside and talk about Maria and Boris!!

If there’s a word to describe how I envisioned this session to be, it would be: energy. And they came through 100000%! They ran around this fair, danced, did lots of lifts and twirling, gazed into each others’ eyes, and made each other laugh like a rom-com was happening in front of my eyes. It was the absolute best!

On December 2021, Maria and Boris met through their friends who invited them to dinner one evening. Although they didn’t speak much, they hit it off in February when they went bowling with those same friends. Maria said, “since then we have never split.”

Vasquez Rocks Adventure Session // Ben and Briana

We absolutely love adventure sessions! Adventure session, what’s that? Here’s what you’ll need:

4. Lots of love.

5. A photographer to cheer you on along the way ;)

I mean how AMAZING are Briana and Ben?! It was such a great time exploring new terrain, getting to know them, and sharing some laughs. Thanks for allowing me to try new photography things and for climbing rocks in your dress shoes and heels! You guys rock (no pun intended haha)!

Southern California Superbloom Session // Rachel & David

Back in spring 2019 I so so badly wanted to shoot in the superbloom for reasons everyone probably knows of. Enter Rachel and David aka the sweetest couple. They met through Bumble and only had eyes for each other since then.

This hillside area was just magical. We literally had to cross over a stream (pictured behind them in the photo below) while stepping on these wonky logs to get to this spot. It was so worth it!

Don’t worry, we were super careful not to hurt the wildflowers and only stayed in places that were already flat or had a path.

Big Bear Adventure Session // Tiffany + Anthony

Adventurous Winter Getaway
Big Bear Lake, CA

I thought I was excited when Tiffany and Anthony said yes to doing their couples session up at Big Bear, but I guess they were more enthusiastic about it because they ended up making a weekend getaway out of it! Was hoping to catch some snow but at the very last day of March I guess it was at the tail-end of our Californian winter wonderland. No worries though, we got some bits of snow here and there and some amazing locations!

Do you ever meet couples and think that they must have been together for a while now? That’s what I thought when I met Tiffany and Anthony but it turns out, they’ve been dating 3 months! They both said it felt like it’s been longer though, which totally makes sense. Their connection was undeniable and they were always having so much fun!
